If it were possible to actually work butts away, mine would be leaving the keys on the table and on its way out the door. I’ve been mad-crazy draw-cartooning lately, and the madness will continue.
I have to major upcoming events that I’d like to tell you about. The first is 24 Hour Comics Day, which I will be doing at Mission Comics and Art. 24HCD, originally conceived by Scott McCloud, is a challenge to cartoonists: conceive, write, draw and finish a 24 page comic book in a consecutive 24 hour stretch. It’s a great exercise, and at the end of the day, you have a whole book. Its an amazing to see that much (hopefully) accomplished in that time frame.
The second is A.P.E., the Alternative Press Expo. I’ll be exhibiting at booth #531, on the right hand aisle in the back. I will have new comics, original paintings, and much more for sale! Come visit!

Well, this is a first for me: I was informed yesterday that the above piece, ‘Charmer’, was stolen from Mission Comics and Art .
This sucks for a lot of reasons, but it is also oddly flattering- as DocPop put it, “someone is willing to be arrested for your art”.
I’m romanticizing the deed as a crime of passion, the perp clawing at their hair in desperate desire to possess.
Probably some no-good sticky-fingered punk, tho’.
